Founded in 1968 and based in the town of Ružomberok, the Association of Slovak Photographers (ASP) exists to promote the art of photography and to protect the rights of professional Slovak photographers. It organises two salons, Fotofórum and Strom ('A Tree'), under patronage of FIAP, as well as annual national exhibitions of art photography by ASP members.
