Royal Marine Museum

		Portsmouth has had a long and very special association with the Royal Marines, and especially with the Royal Marine Band School. The museum has grown greatly in popularity over recent years, as more and more people learn of its existence - a great place to spend a couple of hours.
Many Portsmouth families have strong connections with the Royal Marines, including my own - my late grandfather was a bandmaster around the years of the first world war.
The Royal Marines we site is comprehensive and more than interesting, and merits a visit, even if you can't get down to the museum itself.
